Gosh, I was sitting here in Louisville listing to Supertramp and Googled his name to see if I could find anything. I am blown away at what I found. I had no idea. I know it's late, but my deepest sympathy and prayers for the family.

My deepest sympathies to Josh and his family.I truly loved Steve because of his generosity and willingness to help others. He stacked wood for me and cut trails for a better hunting season. We lived by the same motto, work hard, play hard. No more pain my friend and I will miss your smiling face this fall. Rest in peace brother, gone much too soon. Jen

Thank you for the kind and comforting words. Steve would always help me out whenever I needed him no matter what the task. He certainly loved hunting, fishing and helping others. I'm so sorry you have lost a good friend, but know that he isn't suffering the pain he did in his last few days.

Thank you cousin Carol for your memories and condolences. I told Sandy today about your note and she was telling me about the trip to New York City because I couldn't remember much about it except driving in a tunnel. She also said something about Ed and Steve getting locked in the bathroom at a cabin at Chesapeake Bay and you had to lift me up to crawl into the window to let them out. LOL. Steve fought as hard as he could with the cancer but he had suffered badly at the end, so I'm glad he isn't in pain anymore. I am going to miss him terribly.

I am so very sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I went to school with him and hadn't seen him in years, but will always remember him as a polite kindhearted young man. God bless his family in this saddest of times.

Thank you Joyce for your heartfelt condolences. Yes, Steve was that kind of man his whole life and he was so laid back about everything. Up to his death, he would always say "It is what it is" about anything that he knew he couldn't change. He will be surly missed by all.

I met Steve 38 yrs ago pretty close to this day. Pretty sure if my memory is correct he was living at the Ridgeway Hotel. Not sure how he met this guy but he ended up staying with Steve. I at the age of 15 had a huge crush on this guy. His name was Gregg and he was from Kentucky. Gregg ended up going back to Kentucky and I was heart broken but remained friends with Steve and tended to several of the same bonfires. Since growing up and having a family we didn't see each other that much but was always nice catching up when we did. RIP Steve and Thanks for all the good times

I had to think back but I remember Gregg was a friend of Steve's from Louisville. My husband and I were living there at the time and Steve had been staying with us for awhile. When he came back home, he brought Gregg with him. I'm glad Steve had a friend in you. He surly will be missed by everyone who knew him. Thank you for your condolences and the memories you shared.

OMG Ann, it's been so long it's great to hear from you. Not under these circumstances but great anyway. How have you been? Steve has been fighting cancer for the last 5 months and it finally won out. It was horrible to see him the last few days but I'm glad he isn't suffering anymore. Keep in touch. I'm on FB as Sue Gould Wilson, that's if you do FB. Thank you for your condolences.
