Suzanne P. Bigelow, 85, of Medina, NY, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Orchard Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Medina, NY.
Born on August 12, 1936 in Lyndonville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Jessie (Frasier) Cook.
Suzanne attended Lyndonville High School and was talented at many jobs working as a hair dresser, a real estate agent, and her longest employment was as a Secretary for the Head Start Program in Newfane, NY. Suzanne was a life member of the Medina VFW Auxiliary Post 1483. She enjoyed listening to country music and also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Suzanne is survived by her two children, James (Terry Lynn) Woodroe ; Cherie (Dena) Scharping, all of Medina, NY; three grandsons, Joel (Libby) Woodroe of Medina, NY; James (Dori) Woodroe of Tonawanda, NY; Jeffrey (Kelly) Woodroe of Medina, NY; several great-grandchildren, four siblings, Louise Nicholson of Medina, NY; Marilyn Kenyon of Barker, NY, Phyllis Allport of Medina, NY; Janice (David) Wells of Medina, NY. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Suzanne is predeceased by four siblings, Roy Cook; Marjorie Barry; Shirley Caleb and James Cook; a son Rodney “Skip” Woodroe and her companion, Robert Wolfe.
There are no calling hours. A private service will be held at the family’s convenience.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Suzanne’s name to the Alzheimer's Association, Western New York Chapter, 6215 Sheridan Dr #100, Buffalo, NY 14221.
