Greece- Shirley J. Barnum, 95, was welcomed into Eternal Home on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. Born in Lyndonville, NY to William A. and Alice J. (Draper) Barnum, she lived in Rochester and most recently at Legacy at Maiden Park, Rochester. The residents and friends at Maiden Park brought her much joy as did her beloved cat, Mister.
Shirley believed Romans 8:38-39 “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
She graduated from Rochester Business School and worked at Sibley’s Downtown for 25 years, retiring as Business Manager, Advertising Department. She was active in the Saturday Night Club and more recently in Silver Squares and Journey Christian Church.
Shirley requested that memorial gifts be made to www.prisonfellowship.org Private burial will be in the Lynhaven Cemetery, Lyndonville, NY.
