Sara J. Coleman

Sara Jane Coleman, 86, of Lyndonville, NY, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020 at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on April 15, 1934 in Henderson, KY, she was the daughter of the late Ivan and Ruth (Lewis) Kerr.

Sara graduated from Medina High School and married Richard “Bud” Coleman on June 15, 1957 and they settled in Lyndonville for 58 years, raising four boys. Sara retired from M&T Bank of Lyndonville in 1992, where she worked for 20 years as Assistant Branch Manager.

She is predeceased by her husband, Richard, who passed in 2015 and by a son, David.

Sara is survived by her sons, Scott Coleman of Lyndonville, James (Lucie) Coleman of Lockport, Steve (Rachel) Coleman of Lyndonville, grandchildren, Jessica (Dan) Volz of Medina, Ryan Coleman of Lyndonville, Alexis Hennebohl of Lockport, great-grandchildren, Grayson, Bayleigh, Teagan, Wyatt Volz and Corey Davis. 

Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 1PM-3PM at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina, NY 14103. Masks and social distancing will be mandatory. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Sara’s name to Hospice of Orleans, P.O.Box#489, Albion, NY 14411.
