Ronald H. Joy

Ronald H. Joy, 79, of Duncan Falls, Ohio, formally of Medina, NY, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at his home.

Born on November 28, 1941, in Medina, NY, he was the son of the late Homer L. and Dorothy P. (Prest) Joy.

Ron graduated from Lyndonville High School and married Mary Jane (Wilson) Joy and together they made their home in Medina.He worked many years for the NYS Canal System as a Bridge Operator and Walker. In his time off and in retirement, he enjoyed fishing from sunrise to sunset.

Ron is survived by his sister, Ann (Robert) Harrold of Lyndonville, a nephew, Mark (Georgette) Helsdon of Middleport, three nieces, Annette (Don) Schiwitz of TX, Julie McAdoo of Middleport, Mary Kage of Lyndonville, a special friend and caregiver, Don Clark of Duncan Falls, OH, four step-children, Scott Joy, Teresa Huff, Sherry Wright, and Andy Joy. Also survived are several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Mary Jane.

There are no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
