Robert J. “Bob” Hoelzl, 74, of Barker, NY, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Buffalo General Hospital.
Born on November 13, 1951 in Cheektowaga, NY,, he was the son of the late Charles J. and Helen D. (Knavel) Hoelzl.
In 1969, Bob graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Cheektowaga. He was employed with Harrison Radiator for 30 years, retiring in 2007. He was an exempt member of the South Lockport Volunteer Fie Company, where he served as a Smoke Diver and EMT. Bob was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing and in his spare time he restored tractors.
Bob is survived by his wife of 45 years, Debbie (Bickett) Hoelzl, his siblings, Carol Ann (Randy) Fredericks, David (Michelle) Hoelzl, and Ronald (Diane) Hoelzl, his in-law’s,, Floyd (Angie) Bickett, Earl (Jane) Bickett, Melanie (Joe) Kelly, Mary Kay (Damien) Brady, Tricia (Larry) O’Brien, and Patrick (Denise) Bickett, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Bob’s name to the Barker Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 274, Barker, NY, 14012.
A Celebration of Life will be held on a later date to be announced in 2026.
