Richard L. Sanderson

Richard L. Sanderson, 73, of Lyndonville, NY, passed from this life on Friday, September 17, 2021.

Born on September 18, 1948 in Medina, NY, he was the son of the late Hugh and Martha Sanderson. Richard graduated from Lyndonville Central School in 1968 and on May 6, 1972, he married the former Susanne Dack and together they raised two children. Richard was a talented mechanic, having worked various jobs, including the former Medina Chrysler-Plymouth, Freeman Cycle Ranch, Crosby-Whipple, Lyndonville Canning Co. and lastly at Shelridge Country Club. Richard spent most of his free time tinkering on his latest projects, but was most passionate about spending time with his children and classic muscle cars. He was well known for his love of animals and rescued many cats in his lifetime.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Susanne and his children Gregory (Jessica) Sanderson and Jenny Sanderson.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Larry Sanderson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to PAWS Animal Shelter, 3371 Gaines Basin Rd, Albion, NY 14411.

Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 4-7 pm at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 112 North Main Street, Lyndonville NY 14098. Funeral services and burial will be private for the family.
