Reevalyn M. “Reevie” Quiett, 84, of Barker, NY, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Premier Genesee Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation.
Born on March 15, 1941, in Rochester, NY, she was the youngest of seven children of the late Harry and Esther (Rowley) Hungerford.
Reevalyn grew up in Medina, graduating from Medina High School in 1959. On February 14, 1960, she married the late Dayton Quiett, and together they raised four children. Together, they managed the family farm. She was a dedicated member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lyndonville, NY, having served on many committees and in various positions wherever help was needed. In her spare time, she was an avid writer, whether keeping journals, writing church letters, or participating in mail card ministry. She also enjoyed paint-by-numbers, word searches, and baking cookies.
She’ll be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, with a trusting, loving soul and a generous spirit.
Reevalyn is survived by four children: Julee (Glenn) Bird of Barker, NY; Lori (Chris) Peters of Woodstock, GA; Eric (Tonya) Quiett of Anchorage, AK; and David (Lisa) Quiett of Barker, NY. Also surviving are her nine grandchildren, four great -grandchildren, and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents and husband, she is predeceased by six siblings, MaryAlice, Earl, Eugene, Calvin, Isabel, and Maxine.
There are no calling hours. A celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Reevalyn’s name to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 10213 Roosevelt Hwy, Lyndonville, NY 14098 or to a charity of one’s choice.
