Misty D. Brabon

Misty D. Brabon, 46, went home to be with her son, Jimmy “Ray-Ray” Adkins, and her nephew, Damon Benfer, on the morning of June 16, 2026, at her home.

Born to Regina on April 28, 1980, Misty was always a fun, wild, yet beautiful Mess. Her love for horses was unmatched, and taking in unloved and unwanted animals was her superpower.

Surviving with all her love and joy is Chris Adkins, for over 20 years, he was her keeper, and he made sure that Misty had no needs or wants. Also surviving are her three sons, Andrew, Chris Mike, and Austin; you boys were the reason she fought every single day to live, and Aunt Tammy, cousin Jolynn “Jo”, who loved her and was always there for her; and John and Jojo Nesbitt, who showed her what unconditional love is and whom she looked to as parents.

A private celebration of Misty’s life will be held at the family's convenience.
