Fennell, Marjorie J.

Marjorie J. Fennell, 96, of Watkins Glen, NY, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 4, 2016 at the Martin-Linsin Residence, Albion NY. Born on April 7, 1919 in Townsend, NY, she was the daughter of the late J. Munson and Maude (Still) Johnson. She grew up on the family farm in Townsend, NY and attended Nursing School and graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. She enlisted in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps during WWII and retired from the V.A. Center in Bath, NY as a Nursing Supervisor. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Employee's and a past Lay Member of the Beaver Dams United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends and family, entertaining them with her stories. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Steve (Rose) Johnson of Lyndonville; Kent (Paul) Emmons Johnson of Las Vegas; Pat (Kathy) Fennell of Rochester, NY; Tom (Carmella) Fennell of N. Carolina; Kay Bennett of Florida; a brother-in-law, Art Bennett of Florida; sister-in-law, Clara Hoover of Watkins Glen; good friend, Bill Pylypciw of Watkins Glen and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by a brother-in-law, James (Sally) Johnson, her first husband, Gib Kister and her second husband, Robert Fennell. There are no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Marjorie's name to: Hospice of Orleans Co. P.O.Box #489 Albion, NY 14411. Or to: a charity of one's choice . Arrangements were made through the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 112 N. Main St. Lyndonville, NY 14098.
