Obituary

John T. “JT” Smith, 54, of Albion, NY, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Unity Hospital, Rochester, NY, with his loving family at his side.

ohn retired from the NYS Canal Corporation in 2021. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing his guitar. John will be remembered as a loving and devoted father, uncle and friend.

He is survived by his daughter, Taylor Smith, a brother, David (Lori) Cox, all of Albion, NY a cousin, whom he considered a brother, Terry (Stacie) Dalaba of Hammondsport, NY. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and a good friend, JJ Grabowski.

John is predeceased by his father, Thomas Finnefrock and a sister, Debbie Montello.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 11AM- 1:00 PM at the White Birch Golf Course, 1515 N. Lyndonville Rd, Lyndonville, NY 14098.

Memorials may be made in John’s name to the Lyndonville Lions Club 4th of July Fund, P.O.Box 371, Lyndonville, NY 14098.
