John W. Nicholson

John W. Nicholson, age 64,formally of Medina, NY, passed away on August 12, 2026 at his home in Tampa, FL.

Born on September 8, 1962 in Lockport, NY, he was the son of the late James W. and Rita (Steblein) Nicholson.

John graduated from Medina High School in 1980 and moved to Florida, where he worked in the hospitality field, until his passing.

Besides his parents, John is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, John and Isabelle Nicholson and his Maternal grandparents, William and Amelia Steblein.

John is survived by his step-mother, Virginia Nicholson, his siblings, Ronald (Amanda), Kevin (Rhonda), Shawn, and Rhonda (Matthew). Also, many nieces and nephews, and his fur babies, Rigley, Maggie and Freak.

There are no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorials may be made in John’s name to a charity of one’s choice.
