Florence Clough

Florence Clough, 94, of Medina, NY, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at the Genesee County Nursing Home in Batavia, N.Y.

Born on October 26, 1924 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Brownie and Nettie (Skarupka) Kraus.

Florence worked for the Custodial Department at the Clifford H. Wise Middle School, retiring in 1990. She was an active foster grandmother for the Rainbow Preschool of Albion, NY and was a faithful member of the Oak Orchard Assembly of God Church.

Florence is survived by her four children, Nina (Alex) Trabold of Hilton, NY; Robert Clough of Boston, MA; Dace (Alton) Beechler of Byron, GA; Cherie Beechler of Peach County, GA; 12 grandchildren, Tammy Zastrocky, Elizabeth Austin, Jennifer Smith, Nick (Dianna) Beechler, Nate (Angela) Beechler Brittany and Julian Beechler, Krystal and Scott Freeman, Colleen White, Amanda and Sarah Clough; 14 great grandchildren, Jamal Griffin, Christian, Brandon, Marissah, and Jasmine Zastrocky, Tyler Austin, Jacob and Terry Smith, Cameron, Adrianna, and Riley Beechler, Krysta, Angelina, Christopher Freeman and a daughter-in-law, Julie Clough of Brockport, NY. Besides her parents, Florence is predeceased by her husband, Samuel G. Clough and two brothers, Robert and Harold Kraus, a son, Steven Clough,a great-granddaughter, Sabrina Austin, two son-in-law’s, Terry White and Kenneth Beechler.

Relatives and friends may call on Monday, February 18, 2019 from 12PM- 2PM at the Oak Orchard Assembly of God Church, 12111 Ridge Rd. Medina, NY, where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with the Pastor, Rev. Daniel A. Thurber officiating. Burial will be in the Bates Rd. Cemetery in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Florence’s name to the Oak Orchard Assembly of God Church.
