Eithel (Woodworth) Clark, 88, of Fredonia, formerly of Medina, closed her eyes, went to sleep, and passed through Heaven’s Gates on Monday, July 6, 2020 at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dunkirk, NY.
Eithel was born in Lyndonville on April 29, 1932, the daughter of the late Leo and Ruth (Miller) Woodworth. She was also predeceased by her sister Doris (Sharp), her two brothers Ralph and Frank Woodworth, and by her former spouse Myron Clark Jr.
Eithel is survived by three children, Sharon (Richard) Ferrett of Urbana IL, Bruce (Diane) Clark of Fredonia NY, and Debra (Glenn) Heydt of Venice FL. She was richly blessed with five grandchildren: Ryan Ferrett, Adam Ferrett, Sarah (Dustin) Reifsteck, Katherine Clark, and Alexis Clark; and six great-grandchildren.
A resident in the Lyndonville-Middleport-Medina area, Eithel worked for many years at Armstrong Drug/Goodwin’s Pharmacy/Medicine Shoppe in Medina as bookkeeper and clerk. She retired in 1999 after nearly 30 years of employment.
Eithel was a longstanding member of the Medina United Methodist Church where she enjoyed the companionship of her church family in a variety of fellowships and activities.
Eithel’s family and her church were her greatest joys in life. Her faith was strong and she enjoyed reading her Bible and daily devotions. She loved to listen to music … and to sing, especially her favorite hymns and Christmas music. And as her family grew up and moved away, she anxiously anticipated those moments when her family could all be together again, laughing and eating together, playing cards, and reminiscing with entertaining stories of “remember when”.
Eithel’s family would like to thank the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dunkirk NY, and their staff of caregivers for their wonderful care and support.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina, NY on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, from 10AM to 12:00 PM with the funeral service to follow. *In accordance with the "UNPAUSING" New York State Guidelines, 33% occupancy limitations will be observed, masks and social distancing will be mandatory.
