Dorothy K. “Kae” Heideman, 85, of Lyndonville, NY, entered into rest on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, Rochester, with her loving family at her side.
Born on January 25, 1937 in Medina, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Lorraine (Johnson) Manning.
Kae attended a one room school house in Medina and on June 18, 1955, she married Raymond Heideman and together they raised two children. She was employed with Harrison Radiator for 37 years, where she served as Committeewoman and Union Representative, having traveled to Detroit and Las Vegas. She was also employed as a ironer at the former Johnson Linen Company of Medina and lastly was a driver for the Mennonite Community. Kae enjoyed scratch offs, playing bingo and going to the casino, but most of all she enjoyed traveling with her family.
Kae is survived by her husband of 67 years, Raymond, a daughter, Lori (Jean Raduns) Hofmeister of Medina, seven grandchildren, Rachel (Steven) Coleman of Brockport, Chad Heideman of Lyndonville, Eric (Gerri Lu) Heideman, Heidi (Scott Galley) Hofmeister, Amber Hofmeister and Bianca (Nate Lori) Cruz, all of Medina. Also surviving are 15 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, two siblings, Thomas (Marge) Manning of Waterport and Audrey Manning of Lyndonville, a brother -in-law, Gilbert Cain of Medina and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Kae is predeceased by two sisters, Delores “Rae” Cain and Loretta Heideman and a son and his wife, Russell (Roxanne) Heideman.
There are no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kae’s name to a local Hospice in your area.
