Donna Lee Stewart

Donna Lee Stewart, 74, of Medina, NY, entered into rest on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the N.Y.S. Veteran’s Home, Batavia, NY.

Born on July 5, 1946 in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Guy A. and Gladys (Penrose) Brendlinger.

Donna attended Oakfield Alabama High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army and while she was in the Army, she met and married the late James Stewart and received her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree. On returning home, she raised two children and worked various jobs. She lastly was employed as a Nurse at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, retiring in 1997. Before her passing, Donna liked to go on fishing trips with her husband.

Donna is survived by two children, Tammy Santiago of Middleport, NY and Jackie (Lori) Stewart of Medina, NY, grandchildren, Stephen (Amy) Young of Lockport, NY, Jennifer Young of Middleport, NY, Alyssa and Madison Stewart, both of Medina, NY, three siblings, Sandy (Jim) Jenkins of GA, John Brendlinger Sr. and Paul (Cathy) Brendlinger , all of Medina, NY. Also survived are several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, January 8th, from 10 AM-12 PM at the Community Fellowship Church, 3144 Johnson Creek Rd. Middleport, NY 14105, where a funeral service will be held at 12 Noon, with the Pastor, Joseph Szalay III officiating. Burial will be in the Bates Rd. Cemetery, with full Military Honors.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Donna’s name to the Community Fellowship Church.
