Donald K. Farrell, 77, of Lyndonville, NY, formerly of Buffalo, passed away on Tuesday, July, 29, 2025, at his home, after a long illness.
Born on January 3, 1948, in Toronto, Canada, he was the son of the late Cornelius and Mary (Jamieson) Farrell.
Donald graduated from Kensington High School in 1966. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in May of 1967 and served in Vietnam. He pursued a degree in Sociology at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Then worked for over 30 years for NY State in mental health; and as a foreman for the Erie County Highway Department. He enjoyed woodworking, boating, fishing and traveling.
Donald is survived by his partner of 29 years, Kathleen Evans, three children, Heather (Christopher Abbott) Farrell of Albuquerque, NM, Brian Farrell of East Amherst, NY, and James Farrell of Buffalo, NY, four grandchildren, Tommy, Donovan, Jackson, and Adelynne.
Besides his parents, Donald is predeceased by a son, Donald, and a brother William.
He will be deeply missed and in our hearts forever.
There are no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
