Diana Lee Thering

Diana Lee Thering, 68 of N. Tonawanda, NY, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Millard Filmore Suburban Hospital.

Born on March 29, 1957, in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Dolores (Weber) Thering.

Diana graduated from Lyndonville High School in 1975 and enrolled in the BOCES Nursing Program, and went on to receive her Registered Nursing Degree from Children's Hospital. She worked as an RN at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, retiring in 2019. She enjoyed traveling, especially to places with beaches. She enjoyed caring for her faithful furry companion, Stella.

Diana is survived by her siblings, Eileen (Lee) Kochendefer, Donna (Steve) Jones, Edward (Lorrie) Thering, William (Elaine) Thering, Gary (Nancy) Thering, Kathleen (Luis) Ortiz, Linda (Ernest) Johnson, Roger (Wendy) Thering, June Avino, Gail Thering, and Donald Thering. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, friends, and colleagues.

Besides her parents, Diana was predeceased by a brother, David Thering, and a brother-in-law, Buddy Avino.

A memorial service will be announced on a later date in 2026, when the family can come together.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Diana's name to Saint Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to The Children's Hospital of Buffalo Foundation, 1028 Main St., 4th Floor, Buffalo, NY 14202.
