Daniel W. Doty

Daniel W. Doty, 31, of Barker, NY, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at his parents home.

Born on March 18, 1989 in Lockport, NY, he was the son of Anthony and Rose Ann (Gurman) Doty.

Daniel graduated from Barker Central School in 2007 and attended Monroe Community College. He worked various jobs, including, W H Rhinehart Inc, Superior Concrete, and lastly was a freelance construction worker. Daniel enjoyed time spent with his friends and family, especially the times he spent being mentored by his grandfathers, who inspired him to go into construction. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed kayaking and fishing. Daniel will be remembered by his sense of humor, enjoying a good laugh and lending a helping hand to those who needed it.

Besides his parents, Daniel is survived by his daughter, Jillian, two siblings, David (Kacie) Doty of Apalachin, NY and Jessica Doty of Wichita Falls, TX, nieces and a nephew, Allie, Emile, Veronica, Molly, and Patrick, his grandfather, Walter Doty of Plattsburgh, NY. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins and his two furry companions, Coco and Lucky.

Daniel is predeceased by his grandfather, Franklin “Papa” Gurman, grandmother, Genevieve Doty and his uncles, William and James Gurman. There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on a later date to be announced in the spring.
