Damon H. “Pop” Lilley, 63, of Lyndonville, NY, was called home on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at his home.
Born on April 18, 1963, in Canandaigua, NY, he was the son of the late Edward and Phyllis Lilley.
Damon graduated from Albion High School in 1981 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy, working with nuclear power. Upon returning home, he started a family with his then companion, Cheryl Mapes, raising two sons. He worked as a Maintenance Mechanic for area manufacturers, including Associated Brands, Freeze-Dry, and, lastly, retiring from Brunner International. Damon was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his two sons, Tyler (Amanda) Lilley, and Ryan Lilley, four grandchildren, Ethan, Owen, Ryanne, and Isla, and the mother of his children, Cheryl Mapes, also surviving are his siblings, Wayne Lilley, Arthur (Sandra) Lilley, John (Julie) Lilley, Phillip (Carol) Lilley, Zenella Deacan, Lang Lilley, Geraldine Kirby, Caroline (John) Gallup, John Kirby, Brenda Best, and Elberta (Jimmy) Easter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Damon is predeceased by his biological father, David Kirby, siblings, Esther Schneiderman, Sarah Bryant, Adelbert Lilley, two nephews, Jason Komonczi, and Mark Weidner, and a niece, Anastasia Deacan.
A celebration of life will be held on a later date to be announced.
