Cynthia King Obituary

On September 21, 2022, Cynthia King, 60, of Medina New York, peacefully received her wings surrounded by loved ones.

Cynthia was born on June 4, 1962, to Lonnie and Mae Helen Taylor in Medina, New York. Cynthia is predeceased by her father.

Cynthia’s greatest joy in life was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Cynthia’s beloved husband of 43 years, David King, helped lay the foundation for some of the greatest moments of her life. Cynthia had an unwavering love for her family and poured everything she had into those she loved. With her love, came unfiltered truths that will be forever cherished. She and her husband worked tirelessly to provide love and opportunities to not only their children, but all others they encountered. A lifelong Medina native, Cynthia was well-loved in the community and beyond. Cynthia worked in the Medina Central School system for 23 years. While being known for her strict no-nonsense personality, the students loved and respected her, and she loved them. This was evident by the constant “Hi Mrs. King” and hugs received when running everyday errands, which were answered with Cynthia’s usual “Why are you saying hi to me,” followed by a smile and giggle between the two. Throughout the years Cynthia built some of her most meaningful friendships with those she worked with. Cynthia will forever be remembered as the woman with the tough exterior but heart of gold.

The oldest daughter, Cynthia, acted as a mother figure to many of her siblings. She spent countless hours listening, guiding, and supporting them. While always being sure to not sugarcoat her opinions, she always had their best interest in mind and loved them uniquely and dearly.

Cynthia is survived by her mother, Mae Helen Taylor, husband, David, children Marcell (Alicia) King, Freddrica (Hector) Fuentes, Helen (Petrică) Rosca. Grandchildren, Aaron, Jaleel, Emani, Amyah and great grandchildren Laila, Ace and Tru. Cynthia is also survived by her beloved brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

To honor Cynthia’s wishes, there are no calling hours and a private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

The toughest, most loving woman we ever knew. Our Angel is with the Angels now.
