Chris A. "Papa Smurf" Amsdill

Chris L. “Papa Smurf” Amsdill, 58, of Lyndonville, NY, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at his home.

Born on May 21, 1963 in Medina, NY, he was the son of the late Gordon H. and Cecelia G. Gozdowiak.

Chris grew up and worked on the Amsdill family farm and will be remembered as a hard worker, working from sunup to sundown. Chris was a former member of the FFA and a current member of the NRA. He enjoyed hunting, but most of all, Chris enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and neighbors. Chris is survived by his wife, Susan M. Durow-Amsdill, children, Jonathan (Rebecca White) Amsdill, Donald (Stephanie) Durow, siblings, Ann (Kenneth) Nice of Knowlesville, Joan Prahler of Medina, Catharine (Timothy) Beiersdof of Lyndonville, and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Chris is predeceased by a brother, Gordon H. Amsdill Jr.

There are no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
