Charlotte Ann Sanders

Charlotte Ann Sanders, 76, of Medina, NY, entered peacefully into her rest on Sunday, August 14th, 2022 at the United Memorial Hospital, Batavia, NY.

Charlotte was born July 12th, 1946 to Lawrence and Lula (Wyatt) James in Wheeling, West Virginia until her family moved to Medina NY where she spent the remainder of her days. Charlotte met and married Roger Sanders in July of 1962, this year they celebrated their 60th Anniversary.

Charlotte is survived by her husband and five children; Sandra (Dirk) Climenhaga of Albion, Cindy (Jose) Soliz of Georgia, Terry (Angelica) Sanders of Texas, Hollie (Craig) Dodge of New Jersey and Karen (Brandon) Sanders of Medina. She also is survived by her youngest brother Bobby (Mary) James of Florida.

Charlotte loved being a grandmother to her 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

In Heaven, Charlotte now has the privilege to love on her grandchildren who have been waiting for her, Kayden and Jaylyn Hazel and their beautiful mom Kiera. What a sweet reunion. At Heavens door were her parents and siblings: Margret, Pearl, Katherine, Lawrence and Arthur.

Charlotte was a hard worker holding multiple jobs in town including: S.A. Cook, Fisher-Price, D&K, Ames, Grants, Garlock, Apple Grove, Super Duper as well as volunteered for the Twig of Medina Hospital.

Charlotte loved to camp with her family in the early days pulling a Penguin camper, they spent years camping with friends in NY State parks and in the later years, they enjoyed a permanent campsite at Lei-Ti in Batavia.

The family would like to thank the love and support of her best friend, Diane Kujawa and her aid Catrina Bias both of these women cared for Mom during her recent health struggles. The family is also grateful for the excellent care she received at United Memorial Hospital in Batavia.

Memorials may be made in Charlotte’s name to a charity of one’s choice.

Friends and Family are invited to celebrate her life on Friday, August 19, 2022 at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina, NY 14103 from 5PM-8PM. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
