Carolyn L. Boyle

Carolyn L. Boyle, 89, of Medina NY, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at the Villages of Orleans, Albion NY.

Born on January 22, 1931 in Medina NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mae (Simonson) Boyle.

Carolyn attended Medina High School and worked various jobs throughout her life. She worked at both the Endicott Shoe and Baughn’s Shoe Store in Medina, in the administrative office at the Medina Hospital and lastly as a secretary for St. John’s Episcopal Church until 2011, where she was a lifelong member serving as Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent, Lay Reader, Church Treasurer and member of the Alter Guild. She was a lifelong member of the Rebekah’s and Past New York State President of the Rebekah’s Assembly.

Carolyn is survived by her brother Carl (Mary) Boyle of Medina and was a loving Aunt to several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by eight siblings, Lillian Boyle, Florence Rook, Aida Hatch, Marie Conolly, Edna Barnum, David Boyle, Frank Boyle, and Arnold Boyle.

 A graveside committal will be held on Saturday, July 25th, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Boxwood Cemetery, Medina, NY. The wearing of masks and social distancing will be in affect.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Carolyn’s name to St. John’s Episcopal Church, 200 E. Center St. Medina NY 14103.
