Carol E. Sanders, 77, of East Shelby, NY, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Strong Memorial Hospital, with her loving family at her side.
Born on August 15, 1943 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Uella (Weaver) Austin.
Carol married Ronald D. Sanders on April 7, 1961 and raised five children. She worked various jobs, including the Apple Grove, Fisher-Price and lastly as a Teachers Aid for the Medina School System. During those times, she was also a full-time foster care mother to many children. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Club and enjoyed gardening, traveling and dancing, especially while camping. Carol loved the holidays because it was a time that brought the family together. Carol is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ronald Sanders, children, Victoria White, Robin (Valerie) Sanders, all of Medina, Thomas (Jody) Sanders of Jacksonville, FL, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, a daughter-in-law, Cindy Sanders of Medina, siblings, Kenneth (Julie) Ralph off TX, Eddie Ralph of North Carolina, Maryjane Kobylanski of NY Pamela (Kevin) Pullen of FL, David (Bernice) Austin of NY, Gayle Clynne of MN, Julius Vercruysse of TX, Charlene Rocatto of Buffalo, and a sister-in-law, Roxanne Austin of Lockport.
Besides her parents, Carole is predeceased by two sons, Timothy Charles Sanders and Ronald Lloyd Sanders, brothers, Billy Ralph and Steven Austin.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, November 5, 2020 from 2-4PM and 7-9 PM at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina, NY 14103. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday at the East Shelby Community Bible Church, 5278 E Shelby Rd, Medina, NY 14103 with the Pastor Erik Olsen officiating. Burial will be in the Millville Cemetery. (Social distancing and face masks will be required)
