Beverly A. “Bev” Winters, 77, of Medina, NY, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Born on July 22, 1948, in Medina, NY, she was the daughter of the late Merrill and Grace (Buckland) Lonnen.
On June 15, 1968, Beverly married Douglas Winters, and the couple raised three children together. At one time, she was employed at the former Muchow’s Flower Shop in Medina and continued her love of gardening by being an active member of the Medina Garden Gals Club. Bev was a devoted housewife, mother, and grandmother, always ready to care for her grandchildren. She enjoyed the beach and traveling to Florida and Myrtle Beach, as well as visiting friends in New Hampshire each summer. She was an active member of the Hartland Bible Church, which she helped decorate and tended to the church's gardens.
Bev is survived by her husband of 57 years, Doug, three children, Timothy “Tim” (Cindy) Winters of Medina, NY, Jonathan “Jon” (Alena) Winters of Lockport, NY, and Heidi Jones of Lockport, NY, three grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jarrett, and Bryce. Also, surviving are two sisters, Donna (Gene) Hart of Medina, NY, and Joan (Jim) Mandaville of Gasport, NY, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Bev was predeceased by a brother, Butch Lonnen.
As per Bev’s wishes, there are no calling hours, and a private service will be held at the family's convenience.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bev’s name to The Cobblestone Society for the benefit of the Garden Soiree Tour. Memorial Donations can be mailed to The Cobblestone Society, PO Box 363, Albion, NY 14411.
