Betty A. Newton

Betty A. Newton, 73, of Medina, NY, entered into rest on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Villages of Orleans.

Born on July 10, 1945 in Medina, NY, she was the daughter of the late Irving and Betty (Chambers) Lane.

Betty lived in Medina all her life. On January 11, 1964 she married Melvin Newton Sr. and together they raised four children. She worked at several local businesses, including White Brothers, ARC, Fisher-Price and lastly for Bowman Andros Products of Lyndonville. She enjoyed garage sales as well as spending time with her family and friends.

Betty is survived by her husband of 55 years, Melvin Newton Sr., four children, Melvin “Joe” (Sandy) Newton Jr.; Michael (Chris) Newton; Tammy (William) Hall; Ellen (Ronald) Brege, all of Medina, NY, ten grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, siblings, Carol Wright of Knowlesville, NY, Irving (Molly) Lane of Point Breeze, NY, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 from 4PM-7PM at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina, NY 14103, where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM. Burial l will be held at the convenience of the family.
