Barbara Ann Satkowski

Barbara Ann Satkowski, 86, of Medina, NY, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 9, 2025, at her home.

Born on April 28, 1939, in Batavia, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank R. and Josephine (Waclawski) Mager.

Barbara graduated from Batavia High School in 1957. On August 2, 1958, she married Richard Satkowski at the Sacred Heart Church in Batavia. She worked for a good number of years in the cafeteria for the Medina Central School System, from which she retired. Barbara was a communicant at the former Sacred Heart Church, where she also served as an Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Ladies' Rosary Society, and a member of the Bereavement Committee. She was also a former member of the Medina Marching Band Boosters, having served as a chaperone. Most of all, Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Richard; her children, Joseph (Charleen) Satkowski of Darien Center, NY, Karen Fox and Steven Satkowski, both of Medina, NY; and a granddaughter, Lydia Fox of Medina, NY. Also surviving are her siblings, Frank Mager of Alexander, NY, Suzanne Koziol of Batavia, NY, and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Barbara is predeceased by her by her sister, MaryLou Klein, sister-in-law, Margaret Mager, and brother-in-law’s James Klein and Joseph Koziol.

Relatives and friends may attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Parish/St. Mary's Church, 211 Eagle St. Medina, NY 14103. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in Barbara's name to a charity of one's choice.
