Arthur E. Luthart

Arthur E. “Artie” Luthart, 86 of Middleport, NY, passed away on Tuesday, December 1st. 2020 at the Buffalo General Hospital after a short illness.

Born on March 7, 1934 in Strykersville, NY, he was the son of the late Arthur E. and Irene Luthart II.

At the age of 26, Artie purchased the car sales and repair shop on Main St. Middleport and named it Art’s Used Cars, which he was still currently operating.

He is survived by a daughter, Susan Lynn (Stephen) Ormond of Rochester, NY; two step-children, Jeff Chambers of Texas, Karen Jo Maynard of Brockport, NY, Nine grandchildren, Joy (Mike) Preston, Kelly (Andrew) Marcucci, Spencer Maynard, Lindsey (Roman) Boitsov, Shelby (Dallas) Barnetti, Billy (Toni) Woodard, Heather Woodard, Josh (Missy) Ormond, Mandy (Dustin) Sutton and numerous great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Dave Luthart of Medina, NY and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Artie predeceased by his wife, Jean Luthart, a daughter, Debra Jean Woodard, and eleven siblings.

Due to the pandemic, a memorial service will held in the summer of 2021 and burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
