Annie L. McCray, better known as Lizza, went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2026, at her home.
She was born on September 29, 1944, in Monticello, FL, the daughter of the late Buddie and Carrie (Maze) McCray.
She attended Howard Academy High School and, after completing her studies, moved to Medina, NY. She was employed at the Little People’s Center, Fisher-Price, and later, retired from Maxtec. Lizza enjoyed fishing, quilting, and playing cards, and was skilled at styling her family and friends' hair.
She leaves to cherish her daughter, Marsha Johnson, her three grandchildren, Shakeyla Dennis of Lockport, NY, Khalil Johnson of Medina, NY, and Travell Banks of Rochester, NY. Four great-grandchildren, Kaysean, Josiah, Aviana, and Yazmynn, all of Lockport, NY. Also surviving are four sisters, Lillie (John) Grayer and Kathryn (Mac) Norton, all of Monticello, FL, Lizze McCray of Rochester, NY, and Virginia (Aaron) McCray Saddler of Medina, NY, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her life companion, Jessie Price, and many other loved ones.
Relatives and friends may attend the visitation on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 12 noon to 1PM at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St., Medina, NY 14103, where a going home service will be held at 1:00 PM. Burial will be private for the family.
