Alexander J. “Al” Papp, 69, of Lyndonville, NY, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Buffalo General Hospital.
Born on April 2, 1952 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Alexander A. and Helene (Dee) Papp.
Al was 3 years old when his family purchased the dairy farm in Lyndonville. In 1969, Al graduated from Lyndonville High School and ran the farm while operating Papp’s Welding & Repair out of his barn. On June 14, 1980, he married the former Deanna Mank and together they raised two children. Al was a devoted, hardworking husband and father. Al was known for love of cats and would never turn down feeding a stray.
Al is survived by his wife of 41 years, Deanna, children, Stephen (Penny) Papp, Danielle Hagen, three grandchildren, Alene, Alexander and Emily, two sisters, Lynn Erice and Rose (Ernest) Stephens. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Al is predeceased by a sister, Alene.
There are calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
