Weldon Humphrey Obituary

Weldon C. “Weldy” Humphrey, 75, of Lyndonville, NY, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018, at Roswell Cancer Park Institute, Buffalo, NY.

Born on February 24, 1942 in Medina, NY, he was the son of the late George and Thelma (Davis) Humphrey.

On May 4, 1963 he married the former Joan Chaffee and together they made their home in Lyndonville. Weldon worked for T.J. Lipton’s in Albion, Associated Brands in Medina and lastly, for Phil’s Electric of Lyndonville, retiring in 2002 at the age of 59. He rode and trained horses and loved to work on the farm. His greatest assests were his volume of good friends, love of animals, especially horses and always making time to help everybody do anything.

Weldon is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joan, siblings, Bonnie (Wes) Allen of Rochester, NY, Wes Humphrey of Medina, NY, Phil (Kay) Humphrey of Lyndonville, NY, Clare (Dianne) Humphrey of Medina, NY, Paul (Linda) (Jerry) Humphrey of Florida and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Weldon is predeceased by a baby brother, Raymond and a sister, Sandie Reed.

The family is honoring Weldon’s wishes of having no calling or service and to please remember him with a prayer and a happy time when you were together.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Weldon’s name to: Roswell Cancer Park Institute, 665 Elm St. Buffalo, NY 14203.
