Roger K. Seefeldt, 66, of Medina, NY, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Buffalo General Hospital.
Born on September 11, 1952 in Medina, NY, he was the son of the late Charles and Lorraine (Brietsman) Seefeldt, Sr.
Roger graduated from Medina High School in 1970. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving as a cook overseas in Germany. Upon returning home, he married the former Kathy Brown and together they raised two daughters. Roger was a baker at Corky’s Bakery and then owned and operated the bakery known as The Donut Shack on Main Street in Medina. After that Roger worked for Joe Russo Construction. In his spare time, Roger enjoyed woodworking, especially making bird houses.
Roger is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathy Seefeldt, his daughters, Sherie Seefeldt and Jennifer (William) Ribbeck, all of Medina, NY, two grandsons, Roger and William Ribbeck, four siblings, Emory (Becky) Seefeldt of Medina, NY, Kay (Steven) Suzanne of Florida, Bruce (Sue) Seefeldt of Lyndonville, NY, Becky (Casey) Palmer of Stafford, NY, five brother and sisters-in-laws, Kenneth (Tina) Brown of California, Althea (Robert) Lindemuth of Lockport, NY, Darvin (Joelle) Brown of Medina, NY, Vanessa (Robert) Draper of New Jersey, Jonathan (Melynda) Brown of Medina, NY, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins and his faithful companions, Luna and Bandit.
Besides his parents, Roger is predeceased by a brother, Charles L. Seefeldt Jr, killed in action on May 8, 1967.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 4th, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Bates Rd. Cemetery, Medina, NY, with the Rev. Dean Shingleton officiating. Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery.
