Ricky A. Heideman, 65 of Lyndonville, NY passed away February 3, 2019 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Newfane Hospital on December 14, 1953, the son of the late Allen Heideman and Loretta (Manning) Heideman. He attended Lyndonville School. He married the love of his life, Maurine Kingdollar on September 16, 1972. Together they made their home in Lyndonville, NY. He was always a hard worker and was employed by Lipton and Associated Brands. He retired in 2016 with 36 years of service. He enjoyed the great outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt. There wasn’t anything he enjoyed more than fishing with his sons-in-law on their boats. He also enjoyed ramming the roads, tinkering outside, finding great deals and collecting unique memorabilia. He formed many great friendships with the local Amish and Mennonite families and they held a special place in their heart. He cherished time with his daughters and grandchildren. Along with his wife, they were the pride and joy of his life. The legacy of his kind spirit and zest for life will live through them. He always had a smile on his face and was an inspiration to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ricky is survived by his wife of 46 years, Maurine A. Heideman, daughters, Serena (Jim) Starr of Lyndonville, NY and Sonya (Dan) Flynn also of Lyndonville. His grandchildren, Nicholas Edwards, Ty Fearby, Riley Starr, Grace Flynn, Molly Starr and Kane Flynn. He is also survived by his mother, Loretta Heideman, his siblings Randy (Jan) Heideman, Glenda Dix (John Kenward), Ronnie Heideman as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Allen Heideman.
In lieu of flowers or gifts memorial donations made be made in Ricky’s name to the Lyndonville Fire Department, 148 N. Main St, Lyndonville, NY 14098.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 9th from 10:00am – 1:00pm at Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl Street, Medina, NY 14103 followed by a memorial service at the Funeral Home at 1:00pm.
