Michael Peter Slack, 67, of Medina, NY, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at his home. Born on July 9, 1949 in Medina, NY, he was the son of the late C. Ronald and Eileen (Condon) Slack. Michael attended Medina High School and then attended Notre Dame University, graduating in 1971. At one time he was employed with Crossroads Abstract in Albion, NY. He was a lifelong resident of Lakeside in Waterport, NY, where he grew up and enjoyed spending most of his time. Michael had a sharp wit with a good sense of humor; he loved to read and loved his children dearly. He is survived by his two children, Michael A. Slack of Rochester, Charles Slack and Fiancé Riley Wathen of San Francisco. He is also survived by his two sisters, Mary Ann Walker of New Jersey, Peggy Slack Crowley and Fiancé Louise Licata of Medina, and a brother, Charles (Susan) Slack of Medina, as well as several nieces and nephews; John, Neil, Peter, Maureen, Eileen, and William Meehan, Patrick and Tracey McGrath and Megan Butler, Aaron, Marty and Brian Slack as well as several great nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, May 13, 2017, from 11 AM- 1PM at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina, NY 14103, were a Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Daniel J. Fawls officiating and burial will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Michaels name to the family, c/o Michael A. Slack, 22 Townline Rd, Bergen, NY 14416, or to a charity of one’s choice.
