Marion R. "Big M" Bayne

Marion R. “Big M” Bayne, 66, of Lyndonville, NY, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at Unity Hospital, Rochester, NY, after losing his battle with cancer.

Born on March 13, 1952, in Medina, NY, he was the son of the late Homer and Edna Bayne.

In 1971, Marion graduated from Lyndonville High School. On May 31, 1985, he married the former Robin Dack and together they raise a son on the family farm in Lyndonville. He worked for several well-known family farms in the area and in 2015 he retired from Chaffee Farms of Barker, NY. Marion enjoyed hunting and puttering around the house. He loved being home with his family and also had a passion for motorcycles, especially for his 1969 Triumph Chopper. Marion will be deeply missed by his wife and son for his deep wisdom and caring.

Marion is survived by his wife of 33 years, Robin Bayne and his son, Zack Bayne, sister-in-law, Dorothy Jean Bentley, all of Lyndonville, NY and several nieces and nephews. Also, survived are his faithful companions, Emma Rose and Ella Sue.

Marion is predeceased by a sister, Carol Bayne, two brother-in-laws, David Dack and Donald Bentley and a nephew, James Smith.

There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 8th, 2018 at the Lynhaven Cemetery, Housel Ave. Lyndonville, NY with the Rev. Rich Demey officiating.
