Ernest D. “Ernie” Flynn, 83, of Medina, NY, went to heaven on Monday August 7, 2017, to be with his the love of his life, Donna Flynn.

Born on December 8, 1933 in Medina, NY, he was the son of the late George and Gertrude (Oderkirk) Flynn Sr. Ernie graduated from Lyndonville High School in 1951 and married the late and former Donna M. Debiaw on February 20, 1954. Together they made their home in Medina and lovingly raised four children. Ernie was employed for over 30 years with the former Harrison Radiator Co. of Lockport, retiring in 1984. He was one of the founding charter members of the Crusaders Motorcycle Club and a member of the Medina Conservation Club. Ernie also was a radio controlled airplane enthusiast. In Ernie’s spare time, he enjoyed mowing his lawn and restoring classic cars.

Ernest is survived by his four children, Connie (Michael) LaDue of Brockport, NY; Becky (Glen) Myers of Hilton, NY; Larry and Todd Flynn, both of Medina; eight grandchildren, Sarah; Meagan; Mallory; Nicole; Casey; Christopher; Parker; Jeremy; five great-grandchildren, Bailey; Mason; Nathan; Julian; and Charlotte, also, several nieces and nephews.

Ernie is predeceased by five siblings: Erma Quintern, Burt, Gordon, George and Everett Flynn.

There are no calling hours. A informal graveside committal with casual dress requested by family will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Lynhaven Cemetery, Lyndonville, NY. Memorials may be made in Ernie’s name to: Medina Conservation Club, 3748 Bates Rd. Medina, NY 14103.
