Arnold "Ernie" Oliver

Arnold “Ernie” Oliver, 77, of Wayland, NY, formerly of Medina, NY, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY.

Born on July 24, 1941, in Shelby Center, NY, he was the son of the late Raymond and Clara (Vercruyssee) Oliver.

Ernie grew up in the Shelby/Medina Area. He worked for various companies, including, Barden Homes, Harrison Radiator and lastly was an Operation Engineer at Iroquois Stone of Brockport, NY. He enjoyed woodworking and being outdoors, especially while hunting and riding his Harley.

He is survived by a son, Matthew (Traci Ward) Oliver of Texas, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Rachael Spearance of Albion, NY, son-in-law, Tom Greene of Middleport, NY, many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many extended family members.

Ernie is predeceased by his wife, June Oliver, a son, Shawn, a daughter, Stormie, granddaughter, Abbie Jae and six siblings and dear friends, Norm Waters and Joyce Michaud

As per Ernie’s wishes, there are no calling. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
