William M. Carpenter IIIMay 16, 1957 ~ August 27, 2017 (age 60)
William Merritt Carpenter, III, 60, of Lyndonville, unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 27.
William (Bill) was born in Lyndonville to Virginia (Alcorn) Carpenter and the late William M. Carpenter, II.
He was employed by Kodak Kodachrome and Ektachrome Research for over 26 years; Lyndonville Central School Maintenance for four years, and the New York State Department of Corrections since 2008. As a member of Yates Baptist Church for the past thirteen years, he served on the Trustee Board and was a follower of Jesus Christ. Outside of work, Bill loved spending time with his family and friends, making them laugh and smile. His greatest passion aside from people, was his music. He was in numerous bands over the years including Jonesy and the Rattlers, playing keyboards, guitar and lead vocals. Bill was also a member of the Albion Elks Lodge, and the Albion Elks Riders earning the name “Music Master”. Bill was a passionate Buffalo Bill’s fan.
William (Bill) is survived by his mother Virginia, beloved wife Elizabeth, brothers Mark (Brenda) and Michael, a son, William Merritt Carpenter IV (Maressa), stepdaughters Ashlee, Sarah, and Alissa; granddaughters Alessandra and Angelina, and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his son Zachery Pasquale, a brother John, and his father, William M. Carpenter II.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Yates Baptist Church, 11365 E. Yates Center Road, Lyndonville, NY 14098 where a Memorial Service will be held at Noon with Pastor Lyell Drake and Rev. Beth Mallone officiating.
