Pauline F. James, 101, of Lyndonville, NY, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at North Wing of Medina Hospital.

Born on July 7, 1915 in Lyndonville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Lillian (Mudge) Fraser.

Pauline graduated from Lyndonville High School in 1935 and married the late Leo James on October 10, 1936, together they raised five children. She worked for the Housel family as a bank teller at the former Central Trust Bank in Lyndonville and at one time served on the Board of Education and also served as District Deputy Grand Matron of the Niagara-Orleans District of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a lifelong member of the Lyndonville United Methodist Church. She was a avid reader and was a member of the Lyndonville Book Club. She also enjoyed china painting especially on plates and goblets. Pauline also enjoyed leather crafting.

She is survived by her children, Fraser (Helen) James, Hugh (Elizabeth) James, all of Lyndonville; Muriel J. Bardeen of Columbus Ohio, Jon (Nancy) James of Sebastopol, CA; 12 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren, and six Great- Great Grandchildren; a sister, Jean Slusser of GA.

Besides her husband, she is predeceased by a daughter, Paula Dravec and eight siblings.

There are no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 8th, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Lyndonville United Methodist Church, 102 N. Main St. Lyndonville, NY 14098, with the Pastor, Rev. Beth Malone officiating and burial will be in the Lynhaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Pauline’s name to: the Yates Community Library, 15 Main St. Lyndonville, NY 14098, or to the Lyndonville United Methodist Church.
