Mary G. Lewandowski, 78, of Medina, NY, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at her home, with her loving family at her side.

Born on June 23, 1938, in Middleport, NY, she was the daughter of the late Martin J. and Margaret N. (Reynolds) Gaughn.

Mary was born and raised in Middleport where she met her husband Frank, while working at the Sunset Drive-In. Mary and Frank were married on May 28, 1960 at Sacred Heart Church of Medina. Together they raised three daughters and attended St. Stephen’s Church. At one time, Mary worked as a waitress at J & J Diner in Middleport. She later drove school bus for Ridge Road Express for 26 years until she retired. Mary's favorite hobby was knitting. She enjoyed spending her time at the Knitter’s Corner with her knitting family. Mary got the most enjoyment out of life being with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Mary always found the joy in life and loved sharing fond memories with her friends and family.

Mary is survived by her husband, Frank Lewandowski, three daughters, Marcia (Jeff) Toussaint of Medina; Susan (Ben Pursell) Lewandowski of Canandaigua, NY; Trisha (Frank) Laszewski of Medina; ten grandchildren, Natalie (Joel); Michele; Emily; Rachel; Matthew; Bridget; Tyler; Aaron; Margaret; Andrea, a sister, Margaret Trinder of Florida, a sister-in-law, Rose Gaughn of Middleport and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by three siblings, J. Francis Gaughn, William Gaughn and Pat Kempton.

Relatives and friends may call on Monday, June 26, 2017, from 4-8 PM at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina, NY 14103. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, 11:00 AM at St. Stephen’s/ Holy Trinity Parish, 21 Vernon St. Middleport, NY 14105. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Medina.
