Mary M. (“Gram”) Grosslinger, 78, of Medina, NY, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at her home. Mary was born on January 2, 1939, in Buffalo, NY, a daughter of the late Ludwig and Barbara Ann (Bartmann) Schmitt, and lived in Ridgeway most of her life.. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish/St. Mary’s Church. Mary graduated from Medina High School in 1957. She worked for 13 years as a mold operator at the former Fisher- Price in Medina until its closing in June 1995. Mary was a wonderful and beloved mother and grandmother. She was known for her kind heart, generosity and extreme love for her family. Mary’s passion was her family. She helped raise all seven of her grandchildren. They were her pride and joy, and they loved her dearly. She could always be found attending their school functions from class plays, to music concerts, to all their sporting events. She was their greatest supporter. She loved gardening and spent many hours tending to her flowers. She also loved to crochet blankets and gave them away to family and friends. She is predeceased by a daughter, Katherine Grosslinger and a brother, Alfred. On November 16, 1957, she married her former late husband Herbert J. Grosslinger of Medina, who passed away April 2016. Thru this union, Mary is survived by three children, Herb (Diane) Grosslinger of Medina, Margaret (James) Freeman of Medina and Rosemary (Mike) Miller of Medina, grandchildren, Kaela Grosslinger, Danielle, Cory (fiancé Tom Auberger) and Hunter Freeman, along with Taylor, Connor and Ryan Miller, all of Medina. Also surviving are sisters, Eleanor (Hermann) Pohl of Orchard Park and her twin, Barbara (Joseph) Bujalski of Medina and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, January 22nd from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina, NY. Services will be held on Monday at the Zion Lutheran Church, 4447 Central Ave, Gasport N.Y. at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Rodney Klinzing officiating and burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Medina. Memorials may be made in Mary’s name to: the American Cancer Society, 101 John James Audubon Pkwy, Amherst, NY 14228.
