Marie A. Lozaw, January 31, 1931- December 19, 2017.

Our loving Mom went to be with her sisters, Edith Gilbert and Dorothy Webber. Known as the Brewer girls, the heavens are a little brighter with the sisters together again.

Mom lived her life like her mother before her with great strength, witty humor, a strong mind and everlasting love for her family and friends. Mom loved company and hosted many outstanding parties including her poker parties with her brothers, cousin and friends. She also enjoyed a cold beer on a hot summer day while working in her flower beds. She was an avid dog lover, spoiling each and every pet she owned. Mom had great times at the casino, traveling many times to Las Vegas with family and friends and always proving she was the lucky one. Mom’s greatest holiday was Christmas where she had an open door policy for family and friends that had nowhere to go. She opened her home and her heart to all and you were met with an abundant amount of love, laughter, food and drink. One year our Dad surprised her with a trip to Ireland which they enjoyed immensely. Almost daily a calming peace would capture Mom as she would watch the flock of turkeys and deer graze in her backyard. It was amazing to witness.

Along with our Dad, John “Ed” Lozaw they built a wonderful home and guided us to be strong, caring and independent adults. Their love showed us how to form our own long lasting relationships. They taught us how to trust, respect and love each other. Mom was always there for us at any time for advice and support. She was our best friend. James (Ita) Paron, Jerry (Linda) Paron and Cynthia (Gary) Cornelius will miss her forever.

One of Mom’s biggest thrills was when she became a grandma. She loved her grandchildren and they loved her right back. There is special bond never to be broken between a grandma and her grandchild. Her grandchildren are Julie (Quentin) Tyler, Marcella Paron (Jeffrey Miller), Janelle (Josef) Foster, Chad (Erin) Cornelius, Michelle Crosby, Nicole (Ryan) Mattison and Rebecca (Aaron) Cook plus 16 great grandchildren.

Born January 31, 1931 to the late Ruth and Russell Ingraham and Leslie Brewer, Mom graduated from Royalton Hartland Central School in 1947. She worked at Bells IGA for six years and then went to Harrison Radiators for twenty-two years where she retired. Mom was predeceased by another sister Lois Christ Cassaenti. Surviving are her brothers Richard (Carol) Ingraham, Terry Ingraham and Leslie (Josephine) Brewer Jr. and sisters-in-law Eileen Capuson, Patricia Prentice, Margaret Lozaw and many nieces and nephews.

The best gift is to always remember our Mom with her laughter and awesome smile. We are forever grateful for the love and support of Niagara Hospice. Memorials made to Niagara Hospice are greatly appreciated.
