The gentle spirit of Joyce Sedore, 78, of Lyndonville, NY, went home to be with the Lord, on Sunday, August 13, 2017, at the Hospice of Orleans Martin-Linsin Residence, following a lengthy illness. 

Joyce was born in Niagara Falls, NY, to the late Earl and Bernice Richard. She lived and worked in the Medina area her whole life and was a long-time member of the United Methodist Church in Lyndonville, serving in a variety of positions. Over the years, Joyce, an avid knitter, donated many beautiful items to the church and the World Vision Knit for Kids sweater project.

Joyce is survived by her loving companion, Daniel Stephany; sister, Janet (John) Nowak; nieces, Amy (Benjamin) Barry of Lyndonville; Lynne (Russell) Bentley of Lyndonville; Anne Hyndman of Lyndonville; and Cathy (Robert Jenkins) Parsell of Reno, NV; nephews, Andrew (Ann) Bale of Medina, Michael Nowak of Webster; and many great-nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Joyce is predeceased by her husband, Ellis Sedore and sister, Jean Hyndman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, August 18, 2017 at the Lyndonville United Methodist Church, 102 N. Main St. Lyndonville, NY 14098, from 12Noon to 1 PM, where a memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Beth Malone and the Re. Linda Haight officiating. Burial will be in the West Ridgeway Cemetery, Medina.
