Donald W. “Don” Leonard, 65, of Medina, NY, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 23, 2017 at the Medina Memorial Hospital.

 Born on May 1st, 1951, in Hillsgrove, PA, He was the son of Mildred (Lewis) and the late Donald E. Leonard.

He graduated from Lyndonville High School in 1969. He married the former Claudia Barber on November 17, 2001. Don owned and operated Leonard’s Lumber and Leonard’s Wood N’ Crafts,  Also, he was employed with Fisher-Price, Rick and Ron’s Auto Sales and lastly owned and operated Orleans Auto Sales from 2002 until his retirement in 2013. He attended the Kendall United Methodist Church and was an avid NASCAR and # 18 Kyle Busch fan. He also enjoyed watching old TV westerns and spending time with his pets, his dog Ginger, cat, Chester and his late dog, Sargeant.

Don is survived by his wife of 15 years, Claudia Leonard, children, Stacey Leonard and Donald H. Leonard, both of Niagara Falls, Dina (Justin) Narburgh and Jennifer (Jeffery) Lyons, all of Medina, Pamela (Terry) Loh of Connecticut. Grandchildren include, Kaitlyn Leonard, Emma Bennett, Brennen Harris, Austin and Bailey Lyons, Ellison and Violet Loh, Austin and Madison Narburgh. His siblings are, Terry (Betty) Leonard, Linda (Lawrence) Slattery, all of Medina, Walter (Kris) Leonard of Gasport and Wanda (John) Donald of Lyndonville. Also surviving are his Mother-in-law, Evelyn Brown of Medina, brother-in-law’s, Paul (Meredith) Barber of TN, James (Kathryn) Barber of Albion, Sam (Diana) Barber, Cliff (Michele) Barber, all of Medina, sister-in-law’s, Betty (Michael) Hammond of Wyoming, NY, Nancy (Dan Sr.) Dresser of Medina, Carol (Jeffrey) Boreali of Grand Island, also, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends may attend the spring graveside burial at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Bates Rd. Cemetery

Memorials may be made in Don’s name to the Kendall United Methodist Church or to a charity of one’s choice.
