Christine A. Allis

Christine A. Allis, 89, of Medina, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Orchard Manor Nursing Home.

Born on December 25, 1928, in Medina, NY, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Alice (Allen) Dack.

Christine graduated from Medina High School in 1946 and was employed at the Newell Shirt Factory in Medina.  On January 18, 1949, she married Sydney R. Allis and together they raised four sons.  Christine helped on the family farm and worked as an accountant at the Niagara Orleans Boces until she retired in 1995.  In her spare time, Christine enjoyed crocheting, cross-stitching and knitting and was an avid bowler.  She loved to spend time with her family, especially during the holiday seasons.

 She is survived by her four sons, Donald Allis of Rochester; Robert (Ruth) Allis, Thomas (Linda) Allis, and Roger (Annette) Allis, all of Medina, NY; nine grandchildren; Amy, Michael, Scott, Christine, Steven, Karen, Sterling, Hayden, and Karley; ten great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Martha Bacon of Medina, and a niece and a nephew. Christine is predeceased by her husband, Sidney R. Allis, who passed away on March 12, 2017.

Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 4-8pm at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl Street, Medina NY 14103 and may also call from 10-11:00 am on Thursday, March 8, 2018, where a funeral service will held at 11:00 am.  Burial will be in Boxwood Cemetery.
