Christina Elizabeth Ashton, at the age of 34, lost her battle to drug addiction in the afternoon of June 27, 2016 at her home in Medina, New York. Christina was born on January 3, 1982 in Medina Hospital located in Medina, New York to Kevin M. Ashton and Tamara S. Ashton (Carpenter). Chrissy was that of a free spirit and followed the beat of her own drum. She was often a support of comfort and laughter for many family members and friends. Whether you were crying or angry she would always try and make you laugh. Chrissy was a Mom and Best Friend to Hayley; they may have argued but they always had fun. Chrissy’s smile was infectious. She wouldn’t want all of us to be sad right now, but instead celebrate her life. Christina is survived by her daughter Hayley Elizabeth Farewell; her Father and Step Mother, Kevin M. and Tracey Ashton; her Mother and Step Father, Tamara S. Ashton and James P. McCabe; her sister, Amanda J. Ashton; her brothers Joshua P. Ashton (wife Alyssa Ashton) and Jason L. Ashton; her Grandmothers, Linda J. Fisk (Richard Fisk), Vicki Schriock Ashton; and loving Nieces, Nephew, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Christina was preceded in death by her Grandpa Joe (Elwin J. Carpenter Jr.), Grandpa Ashton (Daniel Ashton) and Grandma Webster (Grace Kelley), and her four legged friend Gilbert. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 1:00 to 3:00 at Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home located at 226 Pearl St., Medina, N.Y. 14103. A Memorial Service will briefly follow. Afterward, everyone is invited to celebrate the life of Chrissy at Junior Wilson Sportsmen’s Club located at 3875 Bates Rd. Medina, New York.
