Betty E. Woodworth, 83 of Medina, NY, went to the Lord on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016. Born on July 2, 1933 in Albion, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ethel (Canham) Dix. Betty graduated from Lyndonville Central School in 1951 and married her high school sweetheart, Roger L. Woodworth on October 25, 1952. While raising her family she continued her education and became a beautician and had her own business for several years. She also was a Mary Kay consultant and Weight Watcher leader for several years. She was a lifelong member of the Lyndonville Presbyterian Church and had been a Sunday School Superintendent and teacher for many years. She enjoyed antiques, gardening (was a Master Gardener) ceramics, watching Fox News and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her children: Roger A. (Mary Jane), Terry (Carla), Robert and Dixie Woodworth: 10 grandchildren: Marc (Krista), Rory (Angie), Teri Michelle, Sara, Christopher, Gregory (Alicia), Hilary, Graham (Jessica), Ethan and Jessica Deskins; 12 great grandchildren: Haley, Ashley, Abigail, Emma, Ava, Griffin, Tallulah, Leilani, Hope, Kennedy, Emily, and Emma Ann; 1 sister Laura (Don) Brace and 2 brothers; Donald (Jean) Dix and David (Annette ) Dix, as well as several nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her husband Roger L. Woodworth, 3 brothers; Arnold, Harrold and Howard Dix and a sister Mildred Dix Proctor and a granddaughter Jill and great grandson Landon and great granddaughter Gemma. Relatives and friends may call on Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 112 Main Street, Lyndonville, NY 14098 from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 27th, 2016 at 11am at the United Presbyterian Church, 107 N. Main Street, Lyndonville, NY. Burial will be in the Lynhaven Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers, the family asks that memorials be made in Betty’s name to: Hospice of Orleans County, PO. Box 489, Albion, NY 14411, the Lyndonville United Presbyterian Church, 107 N. Main St., Lyndonville, NY 14098.
