Anita M. Hess, 95, of Knowlesville, NY, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 08, 2017, at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 20, 1921, in Medina NY, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Ula (Banker) Stewart. Anita grew up in Medina and worked at the former H.J Heinz and was a crossing guard. She served as past President for the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of the Knowlesville United Methodist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed playing bingo and cards and spending time with her family. She is survived by two daughters; Barbara Fetterman of Norfolk, VA; Jeanette (Carl) Wagner of Knowlesville, NY; three grandchildren, Curt Fetterman of Bear, Delaware; Keith (Joy) Fetterman of Norfolk, VA; Sandra Faville of Greer, SC; great-grandchildren, Taylor Fetterman, Alden Faville, Jordan and Karrington Fetterman; sister-in-law, Rita Stewart of Medina and several nieces and nephews. Anita is predeceased by her grandson, Christopher, siblings, Roy Stewart, Ruth Pittard, Arlene Sheppard and Glenn Stewart. Relatives and friends may call on Friday, February 10, 2017, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina, NY 14103, where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, 11:00 AM with the Rev. Kim Smith officiating and burial will be in the Tanner Cemetery.
